For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12 (NLT)
A Sword-Smith has a highly specialized purpose. He shapes raw materials with tools of iron into a fine tuned instrument of war. Likewise, God's Holy Spirit uses chosen men as His tools to shape men into His image. Edge Venture provides the Godly men required to help shape men into the warriors needed for the spiritual battles faced every day.
The not for profit Edge Venture Ministry was born from two men, Mark Russell and Michael Dickson, who realized how much is at stake in the lives of men. Men are held captive by fear, burdens, and defeat. When iron sharpens iron, a sharp EDGE is the result. God wants us to sharpen and maintain our EDGE. A VENTURE is defined as a risky or daring journey or undertaking. This ministry is all about men getting out of the comfort zones of this world and into God's grace and truth in a Christ-honoring way which leads to the healing He wants for us. This is accomplished two ways:
1. Initial experiential weekends which brings men to a point of receiving God's truth, grace, and healing.
2. On-going local EDGE Groups will be available for men to continue their spiritual growth in a safe, authentic community of brothers.
